My name is Elaine "OJ" Wang, and this is an album. I wrote about half of it throughout this summer and half of it while taking a train all the way across the United States. I also wrote about half of it while thinking about scenes from the real world, and half of it while thinking about scenes from the Replay Value AU (my free-form roleplay group - an AU in which people are trapped "replaying" Sburb, based on the Homestuck fanfiction Sburb Glitch FAQ).
Currently I'm in Maryland because a friend of mine, Zuki, has decided that she'd rather take me in than let me remain effectively homeless on the West Coast. This is why the album is being released now: so that I can sort of call attention to my Hey A Bit Of A Problem Here and provide a good way to send me money that makes other people happy. (Donations are nice, I suppose. I want to provide value for money though.)
So, in the end, it's an album about things that have personal significance to me because they made me a different person. I have learned more about myself in... the past four months or so than I did in the previous year, and that is saying something. Being out of an abusive house, living on my own, trying to make money...
I also want you to download this because Bandcamp's 128kbps compressed preview streams appear to have murdered my triangle waves.
